Whether it is a family vacation, a group of friends, or honeymoon, all-inclusive yacht charters are the perfect way to enjoy the natural beauty of the Caribbean Islands in luxury. From the very start, booking an all-inclusive yacht charter is all about you. The type of food you want to eat, the style of vacation, fancy or relaxed, size, and type of boat will all be tailored to your needs.

Your private yacht will take you to a new breathtaking anchorage each day to explore the intimate coves and pristine beaches that large cruise ships cannot. Plus, all-inclusive charters can access hidden harbors and secluded anchorages that self-skippered yachts cannot visit.

Your captain will be your local guide, able to take you to the best spots and even get behind the bar and pour you some drinks. Your gourmet chef will prepare all your meals and snacks to your preference to make your vacation special.

 What’s an All-Inclusive Charter?

All-inclusive means most expenses – food, drink, fuel costs, taxes, are included in your charter fee. Exactly what amenities are included in an all-inclusive yachting trip?

  • Meals – Generally, an all-inclusive charter will consist of three meals and snacks a day prepared by your chef as per your preference.
  • Drinks – All soft drinks, beer wines, and spirits in the ship’s open bar plus any specific request you have.
  • On-Board Amenities – Use of the onboard amenities, Stand-up-padel boards, kayaks, and snorkeling gear are generally standard. Wakeboarding and diving are also available options depending on the yacht.
  • Fees/Taxes – Customs fees and cruising taxes are both included unless otherwise indicated. Check BVI customs fees.

What’s Not Included in an All-Inclusive Yacht Charter?

All-inclusive charters include most of the vacation costs. That’s one reason many people like to book this type of vacation. However, there are some fees and amenities that aren’t included.

  • Fishing Licenses – If you plan to do some sport fishing, you may have to pay for the license (dependent on the cruising area).
  • Dockage Fees – If you would like to spend a night in a marina, you pay the slip and dockside electricity and water cost. Nights spent at anchor do not include any additional fees.
  • Special Food/Drink – Exclusive spirits, wines, and food items may incur additional fees.
  • Scuba Fees – If you plan on scuba diving, you may incur additional gear and permit fees.
  • Transfers – Transfers from the airport to the yacht, or your return to the airport are not included.
  • Crew Gratuity – Gratuity is not included. Traditionally, guests tip the crew at the end of the charter; 15% is customary in the Caribbean.

Bareboat Charters vs. All-Inclusive

Bareboat charters, without a crew, appear good value, yet, the costs can add up quickly. With a bareboat charter, you’re responsible for all food and beverages for your trip. Plus, any customs fees, cleaning fees, and taxes are the charterer’s responsibility. Extras like water toys and beach gear are also not included with bare boats. Check out our bareboat offers for the Caribbean.

As a guide, a stand-up-paddle board and kayaks will cost $250 per week each. If provisioning yourself, expect to budget $100 a day per person for food and beverages(that’s over $4000 for a week for six guests). Add a couple of dives and an afternoon wakeboarding, and bareboat charters will end up costing more than an all-inclusive charter.

What will an All-inclusive charter be like?

Once you have chosen your perfect yacht, you will be in touch with the yacht crew, who will help you plan your vacation. You will be sent a preference list for you and your guests to complete, so the crew can prepare the boat to give you the best experience. Your preferred food and drink, the types of activities you want to do, and the guest’s likes and dislikes are all considered; this is far from a package vacation.

Your crew will greet you and show you your new floating home for the week. While you unpack, the crew will get underway pour you a drink, and before you know it, you will be at your first stop to swim in the turquoise waters of the Caribbean while lunch is prepared.

If you’re interested in sailing, your skipper will be happy for guests to get involved with some hands-on sailing too. Enjoy the best parts of sailing, the freedom to roam and new vistas every day, but doing it in luxury with a professional crew to take care of you. Add to that; all-inclusive crewed charters offer a local guide who knows where and when to go to the best spots, and you have a vacation to write home about.

Don’t just take our word for it; let our Charter Experts hand-select some options for you. Read guest comments, see sample menus, and discover why an all-inclusive yacht charter is a perfect vacation. Sound like paradise?
